GIRLS@PLAY SIGN VIRGIN GSA DEAL

Virgin Records head of A&R in Germany Stefan Müller has signed Girls@Play for a three-album deal covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Their UK label, GSM Records, is currently in talks with Virgin and other labels regarding remaining territories. The five-piece girl act, produced by Mike Stock and Matt Aitken, release their debut single Airhead in February.

Girls@Play GIRLS@PLAY at #1 in Music Week Pop Top 20

Pure pop rules the roost on the Pop Chart with the female Village People for the 21st Century, Girls@Play slamming in to take pole position with Airhead, their paean to a brainless boy, written and produced by those veteran popmeisters Mike Stock and Matt Aitken.

QUITE BRILLIANT OPEN LONDON OFFICE

PR OPERATION The Quite Great Company is opening its first London office at the end of January in the former PWL building in Borough to run alongside its present Cambridge base. In a seperate move, senior accounts executive Loise Molloy has been promoted to PR manager, while freelance PR Leighton Dewa is joining in the new year to oversee the development of the company's pop/teen arm.
